Blackberry Aroma

A clear liquid ingredient full of intense blackberry scent and flavour, blackberry aroma is a by-product of the concentration process.

It’s used by drinks manufacturers to add delicious blackberry notes to fruit juices and squashes, and can also be used to add a sweet fruity smell to shampoos, soaps and cosmetics.

Measured in ‘Fold’ rather than Brix, blackberry aroma is typically available from Kiril Mischeff at 150 fold.

How is blackberry aroma made?

When blackberry juice concentrate is made, vapours rise from the juice as it is heated. These vapours are captured as steam and then returned to liquid, resulting in blackberry aroma.

The blackberry aroma itself is then concentrated, to intensify the strength of the scent and flavour.
