How is blackcurrant concentrate made?
To make blackcurrant concentrate, the blackcurrants are first juiced then subjected to heat treatment to evaporate off the liquid.
The concentrated solution – six times the strength of a regular juice but significantly reduced in volume – is then easy to transport and store in bulk before it is bought back to regular strength by re-adding water.
Contrary to popular belief, concentrated blackcurrant juice still retains much the same nutritional profile as an NFC juice.

FAQs
What are the recommended storage conditions for blackcurrant juice concentrate?
Blackcurrant juice concentrate should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If the concentrate is provided in large formats like 25kg bags or 250 kg drums, it should ideally be stored in a temperature-controlled environment, such as a cold storage room, to preserve its quality and extend its shelf life.
