How is cherry puree made?
Stones and stems are removed before the cherries are gently heated and broken down. The softened fruit is then sieved for a smooth, thick puree.

FAQ
Is cherry puree good for you?
Kiril Mischeff cherry puree manages to retain much of the goodness and nutritional value of fresh cherries, which are low in calories and full of fibre and important minerals/nutrients. Not only is this puree rich in vitamins C, A, and K, but also potassium, magnesium, and calcium.
Many fruit purees are processed and full of preservatives and added sugar, leaving them high in calories, but Kiril Mischeff cherry puree is unprocessed and naturally produced, making it a great healthy option.

What is cherry puree used for?
Across the food and drinks manufacturing industry, cherry puree can be used in baby food, smoothies, bakery products and breakfast bars, thanks to its great nutritional profile and distinctive, sweet yet tart flavour.
What is Brix in cherry puree?
Brix can be used to measure the sugar content of a puree. A product with 1° Brix has one gram of sugar per 100 grams, while 10 Brix means ten grams of sugar per 100 grams. Therefore, Brix can be used as a great indication of how sweet the puree might taste.
At Kiril Mischeff, we supply a wide range of cherry purees to the food and drinks manufacturing industry with Brix of 12°-16°.
