Kiril Mischeff supplies cranberry concentrate to some of Europe’s leading drinks producers, with a range of varieties available to suit all needs.
Our cranberry juice concentrates can be supplied in 50° or 65° Brix, sourced from the cranberry fields of either Northern Europe (65°) or Canada (50°).
How is cranberry concentrate made?
Cranberries are uniquely harvested by flooding the crop field, loosening the berries from the vines and allowing them to float to the surface of the water. Once picked, they are juiced and then heated to evaporate off much of the fruit’s water content.
Significantly reduced in volume (and thus easier to transport in bulk), this resultant cranberry concentrate is six times the strength of a regular juice. It can be restored to its single-state strength by re-adding water one it reaches its final processing destination.
Despite the extra processing, cranberry concentrate retains all its fantastic flavour, with a balance of sweet and sharp notes, and also maintains much of the berry’s nutritional benefits.
