What are IQF blackcurrants?

IQF blackcurrants are quick-frozen at low temperatures soon after harvesting. This helps prevent the formation of ice crystals, keeping the product free-flowing while allowing each and every berry to retain its natural identity and fresh flavour.

This makes them ideal for food manufacturers requiring visible, identifiable pieces of blackberry in their final product.

The IQF process also helps to lock in the blackcurrant’s nutritional goodness – with every berry packed with vitamin C and a host of other vitamins and minerals.

To place your order for IQF blackcurrants or to find out about our other IQF British berries, just give our sales team a call on +44 (0) 1909 534 000. We can also supply blackcurrant puree and NFC blackcurrant juice.
