FAQs
What are IQF cranberries?
IQF cranberries are individually quick-frozen cranberries that are perfect for use in a range of food products, including jams and jellies, sauces, pies and pastries. They are frozen at very low temperatures immediately after harvesting to lock in their nutrition and flavour. IQF cranberries are a great source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that may help to reduce inflammation and boost immunity. They can also be a great source of dietary fibre. However, they do contain some natural sugars, so should still be enjoyed as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
What forms do IQF cranberries come in?
Our IQF cranberries can be supplied whole or chopped to meet a wide variety of needs and are available in 10kg or 18kg cartons. They are sourced from trusted processing partners in Canada and Poland who maintain high standards with full traceability to the farmer’s field. All IQF cranberries should be stored in a freezer at -18°C or colder, for up to one year.
How do IQF cranberries differ from fresh cranberries?
Since IQF cranberries are frozen immediately after harvesting, their nutrition and flavour are locked in. Fresh cranberries, on the other hand, can spoil quickly and may not contain as many nutrients due to oxidation. The IQF cranberries from Kiril Mischeff are typically harvested from late August to mid-October, depending on the region.
