What is IQF cucumber?
The IQF process sees the cucumber sliced or diced to specification, then quick-frozen at intensely cold temperatures.
The quick-freeze process helps prevent the formation of ice crystals, which keeps the product free-flowing and allows each piece of cucumber to retain its natural identity – as well as its fresh flavour and nutritional benefits.
IQF cucumber is therefore the perfect ingredient for food manufacturers who require pieces of cucumber to be visible and identifiable in their final product.
