Collected during the process that makes kiwi concentrate, kiwi aroma is a natural, colourless liquid that helps food and drink manufacturers bring the distinct essence of kiwi fruit to a wide range of products.
It can also be used to add the scent of kiwi to cosmetics, such as soaps, body washes and home products.
Measured in ‘Fold’ rather than Brix, kiwi aroma is typically available from Kiril Mischeff at 150 fold.
How is kiwi fruit aroma made?
When kiwi fruit juice concentrate is made, vapours are released from the juice as it is heated. These vapours are collected as they rise and then returned to liquid, resulting in entirely natural kiwi fruit aroma.
The kiwi aroma itself is then concentrated, to intensify the strength of the scent.

What is 150-fold kiwi aroma?
Whilst our purees and juices are often measured in Brix, aromas are measured in fold. Fold is a ratio that measures how much fruit has been used to produce the aroma.
For example, our kiwi aroma is 150-fold, which means that 150g of kiwi goes into 1g of aroma. With such a high fold ratio, it is clear why our aroma has such an intense kiwi scent and flavour.
