How is mango puree made?

Once harvested, the mango is peeled and de-stoned and the flesh pressed to break down the insoluble fibres. The pressed fruit is then passed through a fine sieve to yield a smooth and luxurious final product.

Sweet and thick – retaining all the flavour as well as the nutritional goodness of the fruit – our mango purees are ideal for use in smoothies, desserts, ice cream, baby food and a wide range of other food and drink applications.

What is Mango Puree?

Mango puree is a versatile and delicious ingredient that is used to create a variety of sweet and savoury dishes. Whether you are looking for an exotic way to jazz up your favourite foods or adding tropical flavour to cocktails, mango puree can be the perfect solution.

How is mango puree used?

Mango puree is a thick blend of mangos that can be used as an ingredient in a wide range of dishes. The puree makes a great addition to smoothies and frozen desserts; it can also be used in savoury sauces, curries, chutneys and soups. For example, it can be added to ice cream for a unique flavour twist or used as a topping for pancakes. Mango puree pairs well with other fruits such as passion fruit, pineapple, banana and papaya. It can also be used to enhance the flavour of oranges or lemons.

What are the nutritional benefits of mango puree?

Mango puree from Kiril Mischeff is a great source of dietary fibre, vitamins A and C, and other essential minerals. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and is low in calories and fat-free. For some, mango puree is used as an alternative to sugar when baking or cooking. It is naturally sweet and can help reduce the amount of added sugar in recipes without sacrificing flavour.
