What is NFC (not from concentrate) blackberry juice?

NFC blackberry juice is made simply by pressing the fruit, then lightly pasteurising the juice to control the microbiological control.

NFC blackberry juice is ideal if you are a food or drink manufacturer looking to label your product as containing real fruit juice.

This NFC juice is free of both additives and preservatives and is naturally produced by pressing freshly picked blackberries. This makes for a rich and flavoursome juice with a great nutritional profile that is ideal for juice drink and smoothie manufacturers.

Not only is this NFC juice bursting with flavour, it also retains much of the goodness of a fresh blackberry and is packed with vitamin C and K, fibre and manganese.

NFC stands for not from concentrate, meaning it’s made with very little processing or additives. NFC blackberry juice is simply pressed, then lightly pasteurised to give it a longer shelf life.

Thanks to minimal processing, this NFC juice manages to retain the original flavour, colour and even aroma of fresh blackberries.

Although NFC juices are less processed and therefore more natural, there is not much difference between NFC and concentrate juices in terms of nutritional value.

However, in an increasingly health-conscious market that is obsessed with natural products, NFC juices are typically considered to be the healthier option and therefore have the potential to command a higher price point.
