What is NFC (not from concentrate) blackcurrant juice?

A 100% natural product subjected to minimal processing, NFC blackcurrant juice is made simply by pressing the berries then lightly pasteurising the juice. It reaches you ready to use, full of natural fresh flavour – and with virtually all of the nutritional benefits of the blackcurrant intact.

NFC or not from concentrate juice is naturally produced by pressing fresh blackcurrants and then lightly pasteurising them to ensure a longer shelf life.

NFC juices are naturally produced and unprocessed, so they manage to retain all of the flavour, colour and aroma of freshly picked blackcurrants!

A lot of fruit juices can be full of added sugar, and consequently high in calories but Kiril Mischeff blackcurrant juice is naturally produced, unprocessed and free from additives and preservatives.

As it is simply pressed and pasteurised, this NFC juice manages to retain a lot of the natural goodness of fresh blackcurrants, which are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

This makes it the perfect healthy option for food and drink manufacturers looking to label their product as containing real fruit.

NFC blackcurrant juice is produced without any water removal, resulting in an unprocessed, natural juice with a slightly shorter shelf life.

Blackcurrant juice concentrate is also made by pressing blackcurrants to create a juice. However, this juice is then heated up so that the water evaporates, leaving all the flavour in a thick solution. The water can then be readded during production.

There is a general misconception that concentrate juice is less healthy than NFC juice, but they actually retain around the same nutritional values – the only difference being that concentrate juices have the water removed, labelling them as more processed.
