How is pineapple concentrate made?
Initially juiced in the same manner as an NFC pineapple juice, pineapple concentrate is then heated so that the fruit’s water content evaporates – resulting in a condensed solution six times the strength of a juice, but significantly smaller in volume.
The concentrate can then be transported more easily in larger quantities, before the water is re-added at the manufacturer’s end to bring it back to regular juice form.

The juice is a good source of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, potassium and manganese.

Pineapple juice concentrate does not typically contain any added preservatives, which is one of its key advantages over other forms of shelf-stable juice. It is also naturally gluten-free, making it a safe option for those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance – it’s also is vegan-friendly, as it does not contain any animal products or by-products. The juice can also be easily mixed with other juices to create unique flavour combinations.
