Whole pre-cooked dehydrated pinto beans have a quick cooking time of 5-10 minutes, without having to soak before use. This reduction of cooking time makes them the ideal ingredient for instant soups and noodles.

Kiril-Mischeff can supply pre-cooked dehydrated pinto beans in 20/25kg sacks, as well as food service pack sizes.

Why not give our flours and grits a try too? Pre-cooked, dehydrated pinto bean grits provide crunch and texture to a variety of foods, while pinto bean flour is a great addition to soups, bakery, snacks, and vegan burger mixes.

FAQ

What are the advantages of using pre-cooked, dehyrdrated pinto beans?

Pre-cooking beans and pulses dramatically reduces their final cooking time. The dehydration process increases the shelf life of the pinto beans, while preserving their organoleptic properties.

What yield can I expect once rehydrated?

Our pre-cooked, dehydrated pinto beans have a cooking yield of 2x. This means that 100g dehydrated product will become 200/250g once cooked.

How long are the pinto beans soaked for?

The pinto beans are soaked for 12 hours before they are cooked using water or steam. They are then dried with hot air.

How do pre-cooked, dehydrated pinto beans compare to canned pinto beans?

Pre-cooked, dehydrated pinto beans are almost moisture free. On the other hand, canned pinto beans need to be drained before use, and even after draining contain a higher percentage of water compared to dehydrated alternatives. This means that canned beans and pulses tend to remain the same weight after cooking whereas dehydrated beans and pulses increase in weight, making them perfect for instant soups and noodles.
