How is raisin concentrate made?
To make raisin concentrate, we extract the juice from the fruit and then evaporate off a significant proportion of the liquid – leaving a thick and condensed solution far stronger than regular raisin juice.
Due to its lower volume, this solution is easier to transport and store than a regular juice – and water can always be re-added later to restore it to standard juice strength.
Alternatively, the raisin concentrate can be used in its strengthened state, to bring rich, sweet flavour to a wide range of food and drink applications.
