About our IQF garlic
A staple of the commercial kitchen, IQF garlic is an ideal ingredient for sauces, dips and dressings, Italian classics like garlic bread and bruschetta, or a wide range of Asian dishes.
Used just like the fresh product once defrosted, it’s made by quick-freezing the garlic at extremely low temperature, ensuring a free-flowing product that retains individual piece identity.
Sourced from processing partners in Spain and China, our IQF garlic also offers full traceability right back to the farmer’s field – and by sourcing from multiple producers, we’re able to bring you the benefits of optimal growing conditions and competitive pricing.

What is IQF garlic?
IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) garlic is garlic that has been frozen in its raw form, preserving all its flavour, texture and nutritional properties. This allows for it to be used as a substitute for fresh garlic or as an ingredient in sauces, soups and other dishes. IQF garlic is produced by carefully selecting only the highest quality cloves. The cloves are then washed and peeled before being quickly frozen to -18°C to ensure optimal freshness. Also, IQF garlic has a milder smell than fresh garlic due to the freezing process used in production.
What are the benefits of IQF garlic?
IQF garlic has a much longer shelf life compared to fresh garlic, and it’s easier to store as it can be frozen for up to one year without losing the texture or flavour. It also retains more nutritional value than fresh garlic, including Vitamin C and B6. Studies have shown that regular consumption of garlic can help improve cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure. It is also a good source of antioxidants which helps to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.
What forms are IQF garlic available in?
IQF garlic is available as nuggets or in whole cloves, diced into 4mm pieces or as a puree. Also, Kiril Mischeff offers pre-roasted IQF garlic. When using, one clove of raw or frozen garlic is equal to 1/2 teaspoon of ground garlic. IQF garlic can also be used as an ingredient in baking or as a topping for pizza and pasta dishes. We are a leading supplier of IQF garlic products, and these are processed using the highest quality ingredients and cutting-edge technology, resulting in superior freshness.
