Transparency and traceability
As one of the UK’s premier IQF fruit suppliers, we take great pride in being able to offer our customers full transparency and, when required, full traceability of our products right back to the grower.
Our IQF fruit is sourced from processing partners strategically located around the globe to benefit from optimal growing conditions and competitive pricing – but we also offer IQF fruit with UK provenance, including IQF strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and blackberries that are picked and processed at our own facility in Scotland.
Product quality is of paramount importance, and keeping ahead of industry trends is vital to us too. Keen to remain an IQF fruit supplier at the forefront of innovation, we’re always working with growers and producers to expand our product portfolio – ensuring we have the latest in-demand IQF fruit ready and available when you need it.
What is IQF fruit and how is it processed?
The IQF process involves rapid freezing of the fruit at very low temperatures, which prevents the formation of ice crystals.
This ensures that the IQF fruit is free flowing and retains its shape, taste, smell and colour, both after defrosting and use in your finished product. The fruits’ valuable vitamins and minerals remain in tact too.
IQF fruit is widely used in the production of desserts, cakes, baked goods, ice cream, dairy products and many more food products where individual and identifiable pieces of fruit are required.

What does ‘IQF’ stand for?
IQF stands for Individually Quick Frozen. That’s not to say every piece of fruit is frozen individually (that might take a while!), but the rapid-freeze process allows us to keep each piece or item separate and free-flowing.
When you need individual pieces of fruit in your finished product for aesthetic or texture purposes, IQF fruit is the perfect ingredient.
Is IQF fruit healthy?
Studies have shown that frozen fruit can be every bit as healthy as fresh fruit; in fact in many cases, frozen fruit is healthier.
Fruit and vegetables lose nutritional value as they lose freshness, but by freezing the fruit as quickly as possible after it’s picked, those nutrients can be locked in for longer.
What makes a good IQF fruit supplier?
Quite simply, the quality of the fruit. At Kiril Mischeff, we source our IQF fruit from some of the world’s best growers and suppliers – ensuring great quality every time.
We’re often able to offer a choice of varieties and cut sizes too. So, whether you need your IQF fruit sliced, diced or whole, we’ll supply it just as you need it.
