What is Banana Puree?

Banana puree is a smooth, thick and largely unprocessed ingredient that retains the natural colour, flavour and exceptional nutritional value of the fruit.

It’s made by gently heating the banana until it breaks down, then sieving the liquidised fruit to create a puree.

Kiril Mischeff banana puree manages to retain much of the goodness and nutritional value of fresh bananas, which are packed with vitamin C, potassium, fibre and antioxidants.

Many banana products are processed and full of added sugar, leaving them high in calories, but Kiril Mischeff banana puree is unprocessed and naturally produced, making it the perfect healthy option.

Organic banana puree can be a great choice if you have a health-conscious target market. For example, products like baby food and smoothies can benefit from being marketed as organic.

Not only is this product organic but it is also Fair Trade. Despite this, it still manages to keep an affordable price tag.

Brix measures the sugar content of a puree or fruit juice. A product with 1° Brix has one gram of sugar per 100 grams, while 10° Brix means ten grams of sugar per 100 grams. Therefore, Brix can be used as an indication of sugar levels, and how sweet the product might taste.

At Kiril Mischeff, we supply a wide range of banana purees to the food and drinks manufacturing industry with brix typically 20-26 degrees.
