How is blackcurrant puree made?

A largely unprocessed product, blackcurrant puree is made simply by applying a gentle heat treatment to the fruit, then sieving the broken-down berries for a smooth and luxurious final product.

A lot of fruit purees can be full of added sugar, and consequently high in calories. Kiril Mischeff blackcurrant puree is unprocessed and free from additives and preservatives, making it the perfect healthy option for baby food, smoothies, juices, breakfast bars and so much more.

Kiril Mischeff blackcurrant puree made with the highest quality fruit, which makes for a sweet, fruity puree that is thick and bursting with flavour. This makes it great option for food and drink manufacturers looking to label their products containing real fruit.

What’s more, our blackcurrant puree can be supplied as seedless, seeded or organic dependent on your needs. Despite this, it still manages to keep an affordable price tag!

Brix is a measure of the sugar content in a puree. As an example, a puree with 1° Brix has one gram of sugar per 100 grams.

Therefore, Brix can be used as an indication of sugar levels, and how sweet the product might taste. At Kiril Mischeff, we supply blackcurrant puree to the food and drinks manufacturing industry, ranging from 11° and 14° Brix.
